Privacy Policy

• Your quiz answers about the person you're searching for (for example: their first name, age range, location, and relationship details you choose to share).
• Your email address, so we can create your account and deliver your report.
• Optional details you add to improve a search: photos, social media handles or usernames, or a phone number.
• Usage data — pages viewed, steps completed, and device/browser information — collected through our analytics.

We do not collect your payment card details — payments are handled by our payment processor (see section 3).

• Running the search you asked for and delivering your reports.
• Operating your account, billing, and customer support.
• Analytics — understanding how the service is used so we can fix and improve it.

We use the information you submit about another person only to run the search and build the report you requested — not to market to that person or build profiles for anyone else.

• Payments: Whop processes your payment and stores your card details; we never see your full card number.
• Analytics: PostHog processes usage events and session data on our behalf.
• Hosting and email providers that run our infrastructure.

These providers process data under their own security obligations and only to provide their service to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA. Because of that, there is nothing for a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request to switch off — but you can still send one to support@theycheated.com and we'll confirm it in writing.

If you live in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To exercise any of them, email support@theycheated.com from the address on your account (or with enough detail for us to verify you). We'll respond within the timelines the law requires.

Our reports are built from publicly available information. If you believe you appear in They Cheated results and want your information removed or excluded from future searches, email support@theycheated.com with the details you'd like removed (a name plus the username, photo, or phone number involved helps us find it). We'll process removal and opt-out requests promptly and confirm when it's done.

We keep account data and reports while your account is active, and search inputs only as long as needed to deliver and support your reports. When you delete your account (or ask us to), we delete or de-identify your personal information, except what we must keep for legal, billing, or security reasons — and we delete that when the reason expires.

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to what our systems need, and payment details never touch our servers. No service can promise perfect security, but if a breach affects your personal information we'll notify you as the law requires.

The service is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we'll delete it. If you believe a minor has used the service, email support@theycheated.com.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
